Genealogy

I am getting so frustrated with my family history right now! My mom's side is documented very well. My dad's side has absolutely nothing. I can't find my grandparent's names on genealogy websites. I did find a picture of my grandmother, though. 

I've learned that she was a musician like my grandfather. In my searches he was nowhere. His parents were documented and his parent's parents were documented but he was somehow skipped. I did find him recorded in the 1930 census but otherwise my findings were scarce. Somehow later on I stumbled upon a picture of him posted by a relative on Facebook. Here he is in his older age. 

I guess that he was a musician too. I'm just all around stuck!
