So, the last marching competition in band is coming up! I can't believe this season has gone so quickly! I blink and bam! Half my high school marching experiences are gone. We've finished with field marching and have moved onto to finishing up marching season with street marching in Maryville for NWMSU's homecoming parade. Hopefully, we will have our BRAND NEW uniforms to march with on Saturday! We were supposed to have the uniforms a few days before the homecoming game, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Honestly, I am perfectly fine with the wait, but I have forgotten what the new uniforms are going to look like. The suspense is killer! Nonetheless, I think that the band has had a good season. Maybe I have too! I don't know. I made mistakes with every field show, but I wouldn't take any of my mistakes back. I am satisfied with this season. I am even more so with street marching than field, however. I honestly believe that I have improved street marching drastically since the first time I marched. Last year I was in step about 25% of the time, and this year? In step almost 100% of the time, baby! Whoop! Also, speaking of babies... THE BAND IS PREGNANT. Well, not technically, but as my friend and I joke "our director is housing the band's fetus." Nonetheless, I think the whole band and I are excited for our teacher's baby. Let the overwhelming amount of plans and ideas within the band commence! :)
